This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Three-fourths of my students come from low-income households and are some of the most hard-working and brightest kids I have had the pleasure to teach and coach. I have discovered in the past three years that there are champions in each and every student-athlete I encounter.
They come to school to achieve their dreams of scholarly success and enter the wrestling mats to discover what type of fighting spirit they have in them.
Each athlete brings their heart and soul into the room each day to face the toughest challenges while remaining humble and determined with each passing moment.
My Project
All of this gear will help my athletes be prepared for the upcoming season. Because of the price of equipment most students would not be able to afford these items on their own.
With your help, my Warriors will be able to step forward and challenge each other and their opponents.
Having the proper equipment goes a long way to ensure that my young men and women are safe while pouring their hearts into their practices and tournaments.
Proper wrestling shoes along with means to track our weight are the basics that will make our season start with great advantage. Thank you!
