My students come to music class ready to learn new, fun and exciting things. I absolutely love their hunger for knowledge. It certainly motivates me to find new material, programs and curriculums to keep them interested.
Students love to sing, move to the songs, and learn a little history behind what they are singing.
They truly invest in their musical experience. All students participate in 2 seasonal concerts which draws an enormous crowd each time.
General music classes include singing, movement, music theory, composition, history and performance.
My Project
As part of our new Little Kids Rock/Maine Kids Rock program. Students not only need to know how to perform on modern band instruments such as guitar and drums, but also how to produce sounds on electric guitar and bass and vocals.
Electric guitar, electric bass and vocals using a microphone have to be balanced with acoustic instruments to produce a nice round sound.
Student in Little Kids Rock/Maine Kids Rock Modern Band will need to learn the aspects of sound balance when performing in different venues. They will need to know how to combine acoustic and electric instruments, voice and percussion, to have the best possible sound.
