My second grade students walk into the classroom each morning ready to learn and excited about what the day may bring. They are inquisitive and eager to discover new things.
They want to be successful in school and they truly enjoy learning together.
The students enjoy working in small groups as well as their individual learning times. Students are growing and achieving new things each day. We have a community that supports us and encourages the students to do their best, even though our resources may sometimes be limited.
My Project
Alternate and flexible seating in the classroom will help to give my students a choice of some different seating other than the traditional chair. We currently have some alternative seating in the classroom but it is not enough for all of my kiddos to benefit from. These additional active learning stools, bouncy bands and metal stools will allow for ALL students to have a different type of seating while working in small groups or individual work time.
The active learning stools, bouncy bands and metal stools will help to provide more physical activity for the students which in turn has been proven to help improve academic performance.
My kiddos will love using the new alternative seating in the classroom and will definitely be "wobbling" to success!
