We're On The Brink of NO Ink!

My students need all their adapted school materials printed in color. They have a very difficult time responding to printed materials that are black and white.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Some of my students cannot tell the difference between an object and a picture. Others are not able to tell what is in a photo or a drawing if it is printed in B&W. To help them, I need color cartridges to print out color work sheets and adapted books and other teacher-made materials.

My students have autism.

They are au-some. It's hard for them to communicate. Many can't tell the difference between an object and an photo. If the photo is in B&W they don't know what they are looking at. They don't understand that rules that you and I take for granted are rules that not only apply in school but at home and the outside community. It is hard for them to understand concepts beyond the classroom where they are taught. Some come from homes where English isn't spoken. All of them qualify for free breakfast and lunch. I love teaching them and they are eager to learn.

My Project

Having the availability to print their much needed materials in color will give them the extra advantage they need. Images will become more easily recognizable. My students will be able to match a color image to an object which is an important learning milestone. Then they will move on to matching image to image which is on a higher level of learning. After that they might be ready to read Boardmaker images which are specially designed images for students with autism. Having everything in color will facilitate learning. I love teaching them and they are eager to learn. This project will help me meet the diverse learning needs of my students. Color ink cartridges will enable my students have access to the material being taught. With your help, I will be able to provide them with the adaptable and much needed color materials that will help them learn and make comprehension easier.

My students need a color ink cartridges to have their differentiated work pages and adapted books printed in color.

This project will help me meet the diverse learning needs of my students. With learning comes the opportunity to lead independent lives. Thank you for your consideration
