Help me give my students new CDs and a CD player for our listening center, musical instruments, and gross motor activities so they can learn as they play!
Head Start is a program for low income children and families.
We are definitely in need of some extra assistance.
Being in a funded program, sometimes the money doesn't stretch as far as you would like it to. In our classroom, we teach 18 three, four, and five year old children.
Our children thrive when they have different activities that expand their thinking. They are active, fun-loving kids with minds that absorb everything they see and hear. We would love some new materials to aid in expanding their growing minds.
My Project
My students love to sing and dance! They are very active preschool kids that want more opportunities to express themselves through music. We are in need of more CDs that are kid friendly. They like to laugh at the funny lyrics of Dr. Jean and Jack Hartmann. They love to dance as a group, but sometimes young children like to enjoy music on their own. This is why we would appreciate a portable CD player for a listening center in our classroom. We also like to relax with soft classical music for winding down and doing yoga. Along with some new CDS, my students would benefit from some new musical instruments. They enjoy banging drums and shaking maracas. We would also like to explore some instruments from other cultures.

My students would enjoy some different gross motor toys. Throwing beanbags at targets is a great way to learn numbers in addition to getting some exercise!
