My Students

My class is so very special; my students attend a Title I school in Virginia. The class I teach is an inclusion class with many students with special needs. The class also contains many students who are economically disadvantaged. Now despite these day-to-day battles for my students, they are the most amazing humans I have ever met. They work harder than any group of students, many far surpassing classroom expectations. They are little geniuses in the making!

In the face of adversity, my children push to succeed on a daily basis.

I personally am a first year teacher using as many resources as I can to give these students a "home away from home" and a safe, fun learning environment.

My Project

My students have had multiple seating options like stools, stadium seating, as well as lap desks in my current classroom. However, they do not belong to me personally and we are moving to 5th grade together. We are so excited!

My students will use lap desks, stadium seating, and stools to support their learning with flexible seating options.

My students deserve the choice in type of seating and work area to ensure their success. They have come further than I could have ever imagine and I can't wait to see where we will go with another year to learn and grow together!
