My Students
My students are an inspiration to one another. They come to school each day ready to learn and share everything about themselves. We spend 5-10 minutes every morning "reflecting". We reflect on anything and everything about our learning! Many students want to share out math experiences outside of school. Some students love to share books they are reading. They are always looking for ways to get a smile from their peers.
I think teachers yearn to make a positive influence on their students but, also that students yearn to make a positive influence on their teachers.
I'd love to continue making that difference by putting myself out there to ask for materials for my classroom.
My Project
I am requesting books that my students love reading. They are already familiar with the first 2 in the series. With 25 copies of the book, Lulu's Mysterious Mission, we can start a book club! Students would be able to take the book back and forth from school. They can share their reading experiences and learn how to talk and communicate together.
My project will make a difference because it will provide a real sense of ownership with their learning and reading!
We will need at least 2 weeks to complete our first time book club. I believe this will help encourage more active book clubs, in school and out!
