My students are children with special needs. They are in a self contained class. Our population is very diverse. We have many nationalities, cultures, and abilities. We are a Title I school in a very low-income community, where most children receive free lunch. My students love to come to school each and every day. The smiles on their faces warms my heart each and every morning. I really want my students to succeed every day that they walk through my classroom door!
My Project
I have included items in my project that will help my students grow educationally each day. I also included posters that will encourage and foster social - emotional growth!
My students come to school each day eager to learn and grow.
As a teacher my responsibility is to give them a classroom that is inspiring and will encourage them to want to learn. Included are growth mindset posters and positive sayings. Both are kid friendly and will help my students be more emotionally prepared.
I have also included the writing process bulletin to help my students become better writers. I also put a "telling time" poster that I will use around my clock to help my students learn to tell time using an analog clock, a skill that many students have difficulty with.
