Help me give my students a comfortable place to work and learn using the Active Kids Wobble Chairs. Using flexible seating has been a fantastic way to motivate students to work harder, listen more carefully.
With the new curriculum expectations in third grade, I am determined to provide my students with the materials, support, and encouragement they need to be confident and successful as they move through this year and prepare for a successful academic future.
"If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn."-Ignacio Estrada
This year, I have close to 75 students from many different social and ethnic backgrounds. Our students speak 9 different languages (five different languages in my homeroom class alone!) and their academic levels and learning styles span the entire spectrum. Making sure they each master the new curriculum standards is a huge challenge. In order to fulfill these requirements and prepare our students for the demands of a diverse learning environment, our classroom needs materials that will help students to enjoy learning the skills they need to succeed.
My Project
Flexible seating is so much fun for students! They are able to sit in spaces and positions other than those a normal student desk allows. Students are able to sit closer to the teacher or other learning target, to spread out their materials, and to easily move their seat to accommodate the movement of the teacher and the activity.
Since I began using flexible seating in my classroom, I have seen increased student motivation, interest, participation, and learning!
Class is more fun and math is more interesting! Having these new Wobble Chairs will be a perfect addition to my classroom and my students will love earning a chance to use them every day!
