We're Buggin Out!
My students need live insects, like ants and butterflies, so that they can observe their life cycles.
How neat would it be to get to watch a complete metamorphosis? My students would love to experience this magnificent process.
My students are a class of gifted students.
I have approximately forty students in second grade all the way up to the sixth grade. Our school is located in Mississippi. The school is low-income school with very limited resources. We could use all the help we can get!
We have nature all around us, but we are very deprived of getting to see insects go through a complete life cycle. I am asking for some live specimen of caterpillars, ladybug larvae, praying mantis, and an ant farm. We would like to get to be up close and personal with these insects. With this project funded, my students will get to see first hand the awesome miracle of nature. My students will learn how fragile life is and how important each living creature is.
By donating to our project, you will help my students discover the awesome wonders of nature.
This project will let them see first hand how insects are transformed. This will be better than any book could ever show them!
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
