My Students
The Young Queens and Kings Scholar Program was created in September 2018. We are now going into our third year of operation. The goal of the program is to help students of color close the achievement gaps as well as the social emotional gap. We also give students various enrichment opportunities that they won't have in other programs. We are also working hard virtually via Zoom to still give our students the same after school/summer camp experience.
Out of our 60 students, that we have served in the past and present.
Our students display qualities of being unique, artistic, funny, loving and every student shows outstanding academic strengths. Our students put the F in family and the L in love.
My Project
We are now back in school and we want to create a warm environment for our students. We want it to feel like home but also like school. Our students deserve the best. With your donation, we will be about to get a bookcase for our students, supplies for our classroom and a safe place to store their items.
Our students are trying to readjust back to school life and we want to make this transition easy.
Our students need to feel comfortable and that is my goal. I want them to feel like they belong.
