I want my students to feel they can come to me and any of their friends with their needs, questions, or concerns.
Each year I get a new bunch of amazing kiddos, and I can find something different about each class. That is what I find so great about families. Each is different.
If I could describe my class in one word it would be: family. That is just what we are. A family. Each of my students is an important part of the family. We are full of unique personalities. We are creative, funny, intelligent, endearing, leaders. I could go on and on. We encourage each other in achievements and pick each other back up through failures. We work together through every part of the day as a team; a family.
My Project
My students love to sit together while sharing their thoughts and ideas. We will use the large classroom rug I am requesting to learn math, reading, writing, phonics, social studies, and science together. This classroom rug will provide my students with a place to sit together while learning. Students can hold conversations with one another, learn from one another and build community.
My students will be so excited to have a new comfortable place to sit.
Last year, I started personalized learning in my classroom. This new rug will provide my students with another choice.
Being able to sit together on this rug, will allow my students to feel comfortable, safe, and ready to learn. I love to have my students sit in a large circle when learning and having discussions, and this new rug would be for that.
