My students need whiteboards to quickly write words, sentences, and complete math problems to show me their understanding of concepts as they are being taught in my classroom.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are enthusiastic learners, and when they have the right materials, they are able to accomplish an amazing amount of learning! The students at my school see our school as a safe place to be and are happy learners. More than two-thirds of my pupils are English Language Learners, and they need a great deal of support. Also, most of my students qualify for the free or reduced-price lunch and breakfast programs I know that with patience, support, love, and the right materials, my students will be successful.
My Project
Even though our school is in a socioeconomically disadvantaged area, we hold our students to the highest standards. Using white boards will allow me to see exactly how students are grasping new concepts.
Students show their work and I can provide immediate feedback.
This allows me to check for understanding of new concepts being taught, and it provides the students a quick and easy way to show and share their work.
My current whiteboards have areas that students can no longer write on, and due to frequent use, the boards don't erase well either. The whiteboards are 18 years old and many are chipped, stained and cracked. By donating to this project, you will help to increase my students' academic achievement through increased participation.
White boards allow all students to respond to questions, which keeps my fourth grade students engaged in learning. Students love to take ownership of their own learning and to illustrate what they know as they increase their knowledge in various subject areas. Excitement and student engagement will surely increase with these new supplies in their hands.
