Well Rounded, Hands-on Learning: ELA, Math, Science - STEM Learning
Help me give my students an opportunity for hands-on learning in all academic areas. All of my students come from the inner city and low-income families. Most of my students are either ESL learners, or have learning disabilities.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students, despite the challenges they have in front of them are eager to learn and love school. In our classroom, we have built a community around what we have in common and our shared experiences. My classroom is full of diversity on many levels. I have many students who are still very low academically even though they are provided intervention and differentiated learning. Due to many coming from bilingual or Spanish speaking homes, there is a language barrier that has a great impact for their low academic growth. My kiddos are a great group of kids. I am very blessed and thankful for each and everyone of them.
Even with the challenges they face, they come to school with a strong desire to learn.
Even my lowest reading leveled students are eager to read and get to the next level... they want to succeed and want to be the best learner they can be.
My kiddos and I have a strong connection and our classroom is more of a family than it is a classroom of strangers. We all care for each other and have combined love of learning.
My Project
My school is a Title I school with all of the students from the inner city, and most are ESL learners, and/or have learning disabilities.
My goal is to provide a differentiated, hands-on learning approach in addition to the traditional methods in order to give all learning styles the best, optimal earning experience.
It has been proven that the more styles of learning that are incorporated into the learning environment the more students it will reach because it allows them to use their style of learning and their learning strengths, while allowing them to improve on their weaknesses, ultimately making them a strength.
Students today are more hands-on in their learning because of all of the advancements in technology, they are constantly doing things with their hands...it is important to incorporate this into their learning environment because it is comfortable to them, and something they are already experts at. Taking what they can do and using it towards their learning experience will only enhance their learning. ANY and ALL donations to this project are greatly appreciated and will make a HUGE difference in these children’s' lives. My kiddos and I would like to thank you in advance for your generosity and support in their futures.
