This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is full of amazing, talented, smart, capable, and creative students. Every student is unique and full of potential. Our students are kind, compassionate, and caring. They would love the opportunity to welcome new students to our campus with a special welcome to Tumbleweed gift. Our goal is to create a student led welcoming committee where students meet, greet, and welcome new students when they enroll in our school. By providing students with this leadership opportunity, we are teaching life skills that will benefit them now and in the future. In addition, by creating a warm and welcoming environment for our new students, we will be instilling a sense of belonging and ensuring a community connection from the moment they set foot on our campus.
