Help me give my students community block play people, multi-ethnic dolls, and dramatic play equipment to enhance their play experiences and vocabulary.
I am a new Traditional Kindergarten Teacher with a soon to be classroom of 4- and 5-year-old students. All of our families in Butte County have been through a lot, and there is a lot of movement of families within our county and schools. I am looking to make sure we have enough supplies in our first time TK room while preparing them for Kindergarten.
TK students are enthusiastic about learning and always try their best.
Students' language, math, and social skills grow every day. Young TKers show our town the positivity in every day life.
My Project
Dramatic play is an essential part of early childhood education. It is a space where children can express themselves, act out situations that are familiar to them and allow their imaginations to take over. Dramatic play in the classroom allows students to play while developing critical thinking and language skills.
Please help our TK class build social skills and vocabulary through multiple dramatic play experiences.
Through role play in our dramatic play area, block people, and dollhouse, students will be able to build on their vocabulary learned in class from our word wall. Also, they will use vocabulary learned from books we have read. They will be learning about different members in a community and how everybody helps. Through role play, students can act out and learn from each other, build vocabulary and work on social emotional skills.
