My Students
Many of the students in my school live below the poverty line. Still, despite their challenges, they come to school, every day, with a smile on their face, ready to try their best. It's not always easy, but they know that if they work hard and stay focused, they will succeed.
In addition to working hard, students sometimes need that extra support.
Unfortunately, many teachers struggle to obtain these expensive school supplies and resources. As an educator, I feel that it is my job to supply these materials in order for all of my students to succeed at their own level.
My Project
Reflecting on last school year, I've learned that my students would have been more successful having certain supplies and materials at hand. This year, I would like my students to benefit from hands on and visual materials. Every student learns differently. By providing my students with resources such as Reading Trackers, Math Write & Wipe Boards, Math Write & Wipe Boards, Daily Math Practice Journal, Fraction Number Lines Write & Wipe Boards, and Reusable Write & Wipe Pockets, I believe they will be more successful. My students will also benefit from visuals such as the Developing Writing Skills Magnetic Teaching Charts and Literature Magnetic Teaching Charts. While some learners have difficulty staying focused, the Flex-Space Balance Ball Seat would reduce restlessness and improve their focus while they learn!
My goal for this school year is to meet the needs of all of my students and to provide them with the necessary resources they need to become confident 3rd grade learners.
