I am the luckiest teacher on Earth, I have been given the opportunity to teach and foster the love of learning to a wonderful and amazing group of 6 year old children.
My students enjoy coming to school everyday because they love to be challenged with new learning experiences. They are eager learners who enjoy listening to stories with their friends. I love to teach new topics, which is great, because my students love to learn and discuss all the new things they are taught in class. Fortunately, for the students, they attend a Title 1 School that is located in the inner city of Chicago. This means all of my students qualify and receive free breakfast and lunch.
My Project
The first day of school is so exciting yet so scary to many of my students. Some of my students come with a folder some of my students come empty handed. Therefore I am asking for your help to make my students successful. We need folders to save our writing samples in. We also need homework folders to send home every night. The index cards are in needed to make our own math flashcards. Flashcards are so important, my students need to practice their math facts nightly. The markers are needed by me and my students to write math facts, reading and writing prompts on the whiteboard. The post-its are used by my students daily to tab important pages in their reading books.
Any donation made to this project would make better readers, artist and thinkers.
