This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class size has just doubled! My special needs students (3 and 4 year olds) come to school excited to learn. They learn best when they are calm and well-rested. These items will help them to rest peacefully at nap time, and wake up focused and ready to learn.

Weighted blankets make them feel like they are being hugged.

This helps their bodies to relax and be calm, which helps them to fall asleep. It makes them feel safe and secure. After a good nap, they are ready to take on the world!
