This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are creative, artistic, and eager to learn and participate. They have formed a strong class community and have already made tremendous gains in learning this year. As their teacher, I make our time together meaningful and impactful.

This project will fund four cute and cuddly weighted stuffed animals.

The animals are a sensory tool that produces calming effect when placed in a child's lap. These animals will help support my students with specific and unique needs and challenges. They will also provide comfort to students when they need extra emotional support. I know these stuffed animals will become a beloved part of our classroom while helping my students succeed.

Meeting the needs of all my students and focusing on social-emotional learning is one of my priorities as a teacher, and these tools will be handy. Thank you for supporting students and teachers by helping us have the resources we need to succeed!
