My Students

The students at our school are incredible! We have a wide variety of students and they each have different learning needs. We have students that are rock stars in the classroom and try to help out wherever they are needed. We have groups of students that are excited and willing to jump in and help out with students that are struggling or new to our school by helping them to class, sitting and eating lunch with them, and helping them with whatever they need.

Our students have been through a lot in the last few years while trying to navigate this crazy new world we are living in.

They have learned and grown as students and they worked hard and did as well as they could when transferring to online school. Many of our students began to struggle since they were so used to a more hands-on learning environment. And now that we are back to in-person learning they are trying hard to catch up on the things they missed out on. They are incredible students with so much potential!

My Project

My project is to help our students have a better learning environment not only academically but also personally. Our current science lab is dated and we are in need of some current equipment. We worked on projects earlier in the year that our current equipment didn't work correctly and the students didn't learn as well as they should have. This grant will help bring our lab into a place where students can learn and grow!

We also are trying to help our students build relationships with each other.

Having just gone through the hardest two years of school anyone has ever faced it has made them more secluded. In order to help them come out of their shell and meet new friends our project includes some fun learning games to help the students engage with each other in a world that has tried to teach them to stay away from each other. As the students play together they will be able to relax and realize they all have things in common and can be great new friends!
