My preschool room consists of 15 students (special education students and general education students) ages 3-5. They are at many different abilities levels and needs. My preschool students walk into our classroom every day full of energy. They can't wait to share their stories, thoughts, and feelings. They look around to see what has changed or has been added to our classroom. They look forward to all their new experiences.
My goal is to provide my students with the love of learning.
My goal is to do this by providing them with a safe, caring, happy, and fun classroom. They enjoy experiencing new things with their friends. I want be able to prepare them for a successful future.
My Project
Preschool is where we begin to build the foundation for many years to come. My little learners have very different backgrounds and needs. Each child is different, so I need different resources to make them successful learners in the classroom,
Lap pads will provide some weight, so sitting to listen will be easier.
Developmentally many preschoolers bodies are not ready to sit for long periods of time, so our whole group instruction time is short. However, even a short time is a struggle for some. Weighted Lap pads will definitely help some students to gain more control of their body, so they can take in more information. These lap pads will add compression to help my little learners calm down, self regulate, and be ready to take in information to be successful in the classroom.
