This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 3rd-grade students are passionate about learning. Our school is a Title I school with 100% of our students having free and reduced lunches; this includes a high population of English Language Learners. We are an AVID and Leader in Me school with a focus on getting our students​ college and career-ready They enjoy being challenged academically.

My goal is to inspire the LOVE of learning, giving the students an opportunity to experience STEAM challenges of building and programming robotics.

My Project

Students will use WeDo kit to build and program robots. These Legos will allow my students to build robots and explore programming.

STEAM learning is crucial in providing our students with skills needed for their future.

Our students will not have this opportunity unless it is provided at school.

These Legos will allow us to dig deeper into our science standards and allow our students to experience robotics programming.

The lessons available with these kits are extreme habitats, various methods of communication used in the animal kingdoms, and animal interactions (senses, predators & prey, pollinators, frog metamorphosis). These lessons will make learning science engaging with hands-on experiences.
