Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our middle school students enjoy a rigorous S.T.E.A.M. Curriculum and Activities. As coordinator of the Announcement Crew delivering current information over the PA system every Monday and Wednesday morning, the vision is to include “Webster Weather” and incorporating meteorological data collection to our science classes. To do so we need a state of the art weather station located in our horticulture garden.

My Project

Students spending so much time indoors need to be aware of the outdoors now more than ever. By installing, monitoring, collecting data, using a state of the art weather station will help accomplish this goal. Understanding how weather works will also increase awareness of how our school’s micro climate reflects the macro climate of the area and globally. With this equipment, I hope to develop environmentally responsible students during a time when weather is always in the news. Your consideration is gratefully appreciated by all the students.
