I am a visual arts teacher in an urban area. In our school we serve over 760 students from PreK through 8th grade. As an arts teacher I am lucky to see all of them during the year. I love that I get to grow with my students as they learn to express themselves and teach each other about art.
Art can be so important for the social emotional wellness of students.
To have a place to feel at home and socialize with their peers while creating something can be relaxing and a change from the daily schedule.
My I love all my diverse students who come to see me each week. I Love to teach them about a variety of artists through history as well as teach them how to change the world through their art. I hope you can help me make them more successful as we continue to grow together as an artistic community.
My Project
My students deserve the very best. Learning at home is hard, but I can make it easier if they can hear and see me better! This is very important when learning to create art. This webcam will help me reach out to my students in a clear way. There is nothing more frustrating than straining to see a grainy picture and listening to tinny sounding audio. Webcams will help to present my best self so that students can stay engaged.
Students learn best when they are engaged, know they are safe, and cared for.
A good webcam will help with the relationship building process by making sure that I am as clear as possible for my students. If I can't give them a high five or a big hug in real life, at least they will be able to hear the excitement in my voice and see the spark in my eyes.
