My Students

My students are special, in every essence of the word. They are sweet, kind, eager to learn and do so with emotional, learning and cognitive differences, when compared to their same age peers. This is the group needing the largest amount of resources, but receive so little.

These students come to school every day, at what appears to be, against all odds.

Some struggle to function independently, while others do not have the materials they need to be successful learners.

My Project

The Qball is an engaging electronic device that will aid my students with speech impediments. Due to some of their learning differences, they have are a hard time being heard and this device will not only be engaging, but will allow them to be heard by everyone in the room.

Being heard is important to student learning and growth in confidence as a learner.

This device is portable so we can easily change locations, and easily use the outdoor classroom. This will bring a 21st Century device to a group of kids that struggle to be heard, and will offer them a voice.
