Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come to school eager to learn even when life seems unfair to them. All of my students come from low-income households. Many of them are from single-parent homes or where grandparents are caregivers. Our school is a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. These students amaze me every day with their willingness to learn and be the best they can even under unfortunate circumstances. I love my students and I want to give them the best education they can receive but we need resources to help us.
My Project
Help me give my students personalized shirts and hats to wear on special occasions to celebrate our accomplishments for Earth Day. I would like my students to help me design a shirt so that we can wear it the last day of school to represent our Earth Day success.
Please help my students show their creativity as they wear shirts designed by them.
Students will take so much pride in creating and wearing their designs to school. I plan on using this heat press to create items for future Mother's Day, Father's Day, Field trips and special occasions.
My students are so creative, but sometimes using paper and colors is not enough to get them excited about creating something unique and beautiful. Being able to not only create, but actually wear their designs is going to push my students so much more.
