Help me give my students 1" & 2 1/4" button machines and materials to create buttons for Student Council, monthly H3 Character awards, top reader awards, and other such student recognitions.
My students are curious, creative, and love learning. They are constantly in motion, whether working individually, in small groups, or as a whole class. They thrive on challenges whether developing skits and props for Ancient Civilization presentations, rendering 3D objects in TinkerCAD, or playing baseball. Students range in age from 10 to 12 and attend our public, suburban school.
Critical thinking skills are essential and empower students to address future challenges and develop a tenacity for overcoming obstacles.
We are faced with multiple challenges in today's world; students need to develop critical thinking skills and be able to think for themselves and provide solutions for global problems.
My Project
Button, button, who's got the button? Buttons can be badges of honor. Button making machines that can create different size buttons will be used by students, not only in our class to create buttons as awards for our students, but for reading awards for our school-wide annual reading program or monthly character trait (H3 - Head, Heart, Hands) classroom awards. Buttons will be designed by students and can be created by student council members to promote upcoming activities or recognition awards. Who doesn't like to wear a button? Buttons will be student-designed and created to support our positive school climate.
