Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hands down, the best part of our school is our students! We are a public school with an extremely diverse population. We have 560 amazing students at our school. At our school, we are deeply committed to individualized instruction, allowing every student to reach his/her full potential! High academic and behavioral expectations are reflected in our school's core values: Be Respectful, Work Hard, Help Others, and Strive for Excellence.
Families are also engaged in the learning process.
We are confident that all students can achieve at high levels.
Kindergarten is a very busy place! I personally think that Kindergarten is the best! It is an absolutely magical place to be! There is just so much growth that goes on in one year. It's truly amazing to watch the transformation, and I am very proud to be an instrumental part of that!
There are 25 students in my new classroom this year. Although I am very happy that I moved into a bigger classroom, it gets small very quickly with 25 students! I am very excited about the new school year and look forward to a wonderful year with them!
My Project
We have 3 computers in our classroom. The children love using them! But, we don't have a printer. My goal is that when the children are able to start writing stories, we will be able to print several of their stories and make a book for each child to have as their keepsake from Kindergarten. This project will help to make a very special gift for each child to have.It will be a wonderful way to remember Kindergarten! At the end of the school year, I would like to have a special afternoon for the parents to come into our classroom, have lemonade and cookies with us as their children read their stories to them. One of my goals this year has been to have parents come into our classroom for a variety of events so that they can see the amazing progress that their child is making!
