Our students are critical thinking risk-takers, who come to school eager to learn every day. We are always thinking of new ways to show that we can grow our minds and challenge ourselves. We love to read, love Science and love critical thinking in math.
Our class is a group of energetic third graders looking for the right tools to support our learning.
We are currently mastering third grade math skills, reading just right books, working on reading strategies, writing narratives and informational texts, and exploring the amazing world of science!
As a teacher of 18 years the books in my classroom library were well worn, well loved, and falling apart. So, I applied for and won a grant to restock my classroom library. We have boxes of books headed our way! This doesn't sound like a problem, right? The problem is, where do we put all of our new books?
We are in dire need of bins to store our new books.
And as I found out these bins are expensive, way beyond the amount I can afford as a single teacher.
These bins will be the home to my new books and home to many of the old books. They will help me to organize by genre and reading level to make just right texts available for every reader.
