My students need wobble chairs so they can safely let out some energy when being asked to work while seated.

My Students

My students are energetic, hopeful, and eager to learn. They love school and learning! They spend the day singing, reading, playing, and not knowing how much they're learning.

We have supportive families who give all they can, even though our school is a Title I School with 100% of our kids offered a free breakfast to start the day.

The kids and their families value the school and support us as best they can, but sometimes we all need a little help to help us grow!

My Project

Do you ever remember you’re teacher telling you to sit with your chair flat on the floor instead of tipping it back? Do you remember kids falling backwards out of their chairs? Kids haven’t changed much, and they still tip their chairs and fall off their chairs.

However, the amount of time we ask our younger students to sit still and listen, or work on paper and pencils activities has increased.

Our classroom works in as much play-based and hands-on learning as possible, but we still have times students are expected to sit nicely on chairs. Some of these students just are not ready to do so. Their bodies are in constant motion and need to be able to move.

We are requesting a wobble seat that will give the students the ability to sit like their peers, but move like their bodies need (and safety!). Instead of falling off chairs, the students would be wobbling and learning. Help us move of our bodies and grow our minds!
