My students need a glitter, stamp pads with refillable ink, wiggle eyes, pocket folders and other materials to reinforce and practice concepts and skills.
Do you know what it is like to start a project and not have enough of an item to finish? My students know this unfortunate feeling. This needs to change!
I serve twenty-two, first grade students who live in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky.
There is an equal mix of boys to girls, who love to read and be read to. They are bright, energetic, and eager learners, who are at a critical stage in the learning process. They are learning to READ!
My Project
The materials I am requesting include glitter, stamp pads with refillable ink, wiggle eyes, and other materials to reinforce first grade skills. With the stamp pads and ink, students will be able to stamp out words they are learning to spell sight words. They will use the glitter to fill in bubble letters to form words. Hands-on learning is key to making learning fun and these materials will allow for such. In addition, I'm requesting pocket folders and dividers that will be used as assessment folders. Students assessments will be placed within for parents to view during conferences. These materials will make a true difference in the classroom.
This project is a project of great need.
My students do not have a supply of glitter or stamping materials.
