My students need flexible seating to allow them to get their wiggle on. Students will enjoy using the Can Do inflatable balls, Trideer Wobble cushions and Fidgeteez seat bands so they can Wiggle why they Work.
"Welcome guys"...is what you will hear from one of my students. Movement, Engaged, Energentice, Helpful, Curious...this is just a few qualities in my classroom. As you walk through my classroom door your will be greeted by 10 smiling faces eager to learn something new every minute of every day. These 10 students all share a common factor....they are SPECIAL NEEDS.
The pace of learning is set daily by the students.
My students love to interact with others. Story telling, working with our hands, moving from station to station, oh did I mention MOVEMENT! The students in my room learn best while interacting, such as touching, hearing, tasting, moving,....my kids love engagement.
10 students...3 boys and 7 girls. Many different backgrounds and socio-economic backgrounds. However, we have one thing in common: We Love to Wiggle While We Learn.
My Project
Movement gets my students engaged. Having access to the requested materials will allow my student's attention to be redirected to learning. ADHD can impact a student's learning, but with the right tools students can meet their deficits and be the best student they can be. Using the handheld fidget manipulative a will allow students to be more attentive while listening.

Flexible seating is just one way to keep a child's attention. Using different tools and engaging activities will increase their learning, but so can being comfortable. I can picture students sitting throughout my classroom on the Cando seats or the wiggle cushions actively engaged in their asssignments. Without these tools, my students lose valuable learning by being distracted.
