My Students
I teach students in grades K-5 each day in the school library. Over 500 students visit the library each week for library lessons, to check-out books, to enjoy our Makerspace, and to read. My students include children from many different backgrounds and learning styles. Each day I teach students that are economically disadvantaged, English language learners, learning disabled, and students from all academic levels.
Our students LOVE the library!
They love coding robots, creating with Legos, building circuits and (of course) reading!
My Project
Children need to move and flexible seating will allow their young minds to to be more alert and focused.
Wobble chairs will give our high energy kids a chance to get their wiggles out while critically thinking and creating.
These chairs move side-to-side, back and forth without the fear of tipping over. Since they are light, wobble chairs can be moved easily for collaboration in our interactive library.
In addition to wobble chairs, we would love a couple of soft, comfortable bean bag chairs for learning and reading. I know our students will love cuddling-up and reading to one of our stuffed animal reading buddies on a bean bag chair.
