Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students and their families do not understand the benefits of recycling and composting. I teach elementary music (K-5). Our school community is one that wants to help, and is willing, but first needs to become aware.

Our school just started a recycling program last year and I believe our students will really sink their teeth into "composting." (Sorry for the visual)

Our students eat lunch everyday, and everyday I see valuable compostible materials thrown away into the trashcan. This compost bin will help show the kids an easy way to re-use materials.

You will make it possible to educate our future generations of the importance of re-using materials to beautify our school's landscape. With this compost bin, everyone is a winner!
