Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
For the past several years, I have been an ESL teacher at a school where a majority of my students come from low income families.
They have numerous obstacles to overcome before they even get to school each morning.
I can't control what is going on at home but I can guide them to success while they are at school.
My students love coming to school! This will be my 10th year of teaching and my second year as a dual language teacher. My partner teacher and I will have a variety of ability levels between our English and Spanish dominant classes that we will share this year.
My Project
My students use pencils daily in class. We use pencils to write stories, practice spelling patterns, solve math problems, organize our research, answer test questions and so much more.
In order for my class to run smoothly each day my students need to be prepared for the day with their number one tool, their pencil!
We are in need of a few heavy duty sharpeners to keep our pencils sharp so we can keep our pencils writing! I am also requesting a few large erasers. Somehow the pencil erasers always seem to disappear so we are in need of large pink erasers to fix th
