Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have thirty-six culturally diverse students. We are part of a Title I school where everyone gets free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students come from poverty-stricken homes and need more than just an education from me. They need love, acceptance, and support as well.
This group is extra special because they are my first group in a collaborative classroom.
It is an amazing opportunity that I am so thankful to share with these kids and my new co-teacher.
My Project
Rock Your School is an event where teachers from across the country make the school day as fun and as exciting as possible. I participated with my class last year and they had a blast! They learned so much and didn't realize they were doing anything more than playing! We will use the speaker and microphone when our whole community comes together to get our day started. This will ensure that everyone will be able to hear what is going on.
After Rock Your School we will be able to use the speaker and microphone during our Fairy Tales unit when we put on a puppet show.
The students talk too quietly to be heard from behind a curtain. But with this, the audience will be able to hear every word. I can only imagine the other fun things we can use this set for throughout the school year!
