My Students

I teach fourth grade in a Title I school. My leaders are full of life and always ready to explore and learn. I am a teacher in a low income/high poverty area. Many of my students come from a single parent household and receive free lunch. Because of these challenges these students do not always have the necessary items they need to succeed in school. As a teacher, I can not control these students home life, but I do have a say in what students have at school.

My Project

Do you remember the book that you read when you fell in love with reading? I remember when I found the Box Car Children series I began to love reading. With these books, I am hoping that my students will learn to love reading like I have. My students have come up with a list of books that they are interested in reading. With these books, I am hoping that my students will learn to love reading. When students have books in their hand that they want to read, they will want to read even more. Please consider donating to this project!
