Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Get ready, Get set, GO!!! that is what you will hear in Ms. C's class.
Our students face challenges daily in their own home lives.
We have students who depend on school breakfast and lunches as their daily meals. When I see previous students, I always remind them that no matter where you come from if you work hard enough you can achieve whatever you want to be.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will help my students gain more reading access at home and at school. I had past parents inform me that their child would sit at their couch at home with their grandparents to pretend to be like an adult reading their newspaper. This shows me that they see the connection with their weekly My Big World with Clifford to a newspaper an adult would read. Also, the magnet will help me post the weekly reader to the board.
This donation will help me get students want to read more students to want to read and from there find the learning to want to read.
