My students need STEM materials like a greenhouse, plant lab and growing crystals so they can learn through hands on approaches that make learning fun!
Remember learning about science through a boring science book? Well I want to change that I want to put in the hands of our students fun hands on materials to make learning exciting. I want kids to ask to use these materials all day long.
The students in my school are some of the kindest kids I know.
They come to school eager to learn and try to overlook all the difficulties that they may have from growing up in such a rural and economically challenged area. They are full of life and with the right tools given to them they can learn and achieve their dreams.
My Project
The materials we are requesting will allow the students to explore STEM in a fun and creative way. We are asking for various materials to help us grow plants and learn all about the growing process. The growing crystal pack along with the watch it grow windows and plant lab will take our lessons from just looking at pictures in a book to growing actual plants in the school. We are also asking for some color squares and color tubes so that we can use these to help explore colors and how science works in changing colors. We hope to use these materials over and over in different years so that many kids get to experience the fun of science in our school through these hands on materials.
