My Students

Remote learning has been difficult for our students and their families. They are typically hands-on learners who require a multi-sensory approach to learning.

Our students have severe and multiple disabilities in an economically disadvantaged area.

Having students in school as well as remotely has been such a learning curve. We share the same attitude as our students "WE CAN DO THIS".

My Project

Getting our students outside is so important, especially right now. The pandemic has us looking for things that our students would enjoy. We have students in wheelchairs or who use devices to help them function. Fishing is something that we can do with all of our students. Our students come from various income households. Some are not able to afford outdoor activities such as fishing. The chance to reel in your first fish, to catching an ol' log is something that everyone should experience in a lifetime, even if your sitting next to your teacher or sitting next to the adult who takes care of you.
