Mr. Smith from Humboldt TN is requesting musical instruments through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students mouthpieces to take them beyond the walls our classroom as we study and read about different countries, communities, and cultures.

Our students are anxious to move forward after our recent pandemic. We all have toughed it out working life’s troubles. They are vigilant, intelligent, kind, incomparable, noble and gracious students. Our students use their minds and musical talents to bring resources to their community.
All of our students want to learn to play the trumpet at least once in their lives. Our classes can only have one or two playing the trumpet at a time right now because of the safety protocols. As they progress, they will be able to do team and independent work to build musicianship and to be able to practice socialization. The trumpet is known as the voice of the band and we will play many roles in the program for the students. First and foremost, it will give all students a chance to play the trumpet in class without having to share their mouthpieces. They can monitor the use of their instruments. They will play with more confidence daily, which leads to better productivity and growth individually and as a band. This will enhance the environment not only in the classroom, but on the concert stage as well.
