Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I currently teach in a multi-age special education classroom. Most of my students have a learning disability. Each day I plan a lesson specific to their individual needs. Therefore each day I plan 10 different lessons. This is a very challenging task to complete. The reason this is challenging is not because of the student's varying abilities. It is challenging to get the resources that I need printed and reproduced for my students. Most teachers have at least 30 copies to make of each worksheet. Since I have 10 different kids and 10 different worksheets, it is difficult and very time consuming to submit my copies to the copy assistant and wait the reserved 48 hours for just a couple copies! I also document behavior and learning constantly. There are always copies to be made in SPED because of the amount of paperwork. I am currently sharing a printer with 5 other classrooms. I am writing this proposal for a printer/copier for our classroom. This will help me plan better for my students, and also help my students when doing their computer work. This copier will save the students' and the teacher a ton of time and energy that instead can be put toward learning!
