They want to be part of the global market, and they want to travel and experience what other parts of the world have to offer. Education for Global Leadership is our goal.
My students are learning French to be competitive in today's job market and also to learn about their cultural heritage. They want to know the history of the Cajun and the Creole people that preceded them. A high number of my students live in high poverty, and many of their parents are not actively involved with the school.
My Project
The Noise Cancelling headphones will be a great addition to our classroom in many ways. First they will be used to prepare for standardized test. The standardized tests in foreign language classes are based on listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. With 30 students in a classroom, the Noise Canceling Headset will make personal practice much easier, also at the moment we don't have access to microphones until the day of the official test. These headphones with a mic will give a chance to my students to practice answering questions to the computer, like it's done on their standardized test.
A Peaceful, and Relaxing Classroom is our goal.
A Essential Oil Diffuser for our classroom is also on our list. Our school is 48 years old, and no remodeling has been done. By diffusing essential oil we could mask the old musky school smell. With calming aroma, we could find serenity.
