We Want Our Voices Heard

My Students

I am honored to teach over 100 chorus and theatre arts students. My students come from a variety of backgrounds, but through the arts, they all work together for the greater good.

Students make life-long memories when they participate in the performing arts.

Choir, music, and theatre encompass so many skills: Teamwork, collaboration, reading, math, science, and social studies. The arts help students become more confident in public speaking and work with different parts of the brain. It brings me joy to see my students learn so much through the arts.

My Project

These microphones will allow my students to be heard when they are performing in the school musical. Right now, we only have a few standing microphones, some floor mics, and hanging microphones for our stage. It is hard for the audience to hear all of the performers, especially if we are still wearing masks when our show opens. Using face microphones will help the audience hear specific lines during the show. These can also be used for choir soloists.

My students work very hard in rehearsal; they deserve to be heard.

Without proper equipment, their voices get lost in our performance space. With more microphones, more students can be on stage singing, acting, and dancing.

These microphones will also be a great teaching tool for our theatre arts classes. They will be able to see how these microphones are different from other options. They will also be able to understand how they work.
