Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Being a kid in school these days can be tough. Every single one of my students learns a little differently from another and reacts differently as well. My students are faced with different challenges daily.
My students are amazing, smart, and very talented.
Even though they have struggles at home, they always come to school with big smiles on their faces and they are willing to learn. I want to give them all that I can so they can be successful in school.
My Project
Games are so important for students so they can learn to work cooperatively. I do not have games in my classroom and would love to add some to our community. Some students may choose to have indoor recess so we need to have activities for them to play with. We may have weather that will not permit them to go outside so I want to have something for them to do.
Students learn important lessons when they play games such as taking turns, winning and losing, critical thinking and cooperation.
I want to engage students in different ways and I think board games will help with centers and recess.
