As a 3rd grader, you're transitioning from a " little kid" to a "big kid". You're growing a lot, and you want a chair that fits you. Wouldn't it be nice to have a chair that gives you that "grown up" feel, but allows you to move around like a kid should? That's why my students need these chairs!
I teach in an over 80% free and reduced building, where many of my students' families can't afford the basic school supplies.
I spend thousands of dollars on my classroom each year, making sure my students have everything they need to be successful. I work a lot with small groups, especially in reading and math, as a lot of them need intensified instruction. My students are at an age where they're growing at different rates, and many of them are ready for bigger, adult chairs, but not all of them. Six big chairs cannot fit well underneath my small group table because of the chair legs and table legs. I tried using pillows, but those got dirty easily, and didn't work for all students. I tried creating my own milk crate seats, but some students felt uncomfortable sitting on them. Many of my students are wiggle worms, and I would love to provide them with a chair that allows them to move around while being engaged in their learning Please help me provide that opportunity to my students.
My students will be using these Hokki Stools every single day! They will have never experienced a seat like this before, and I know it will help motivate them in small group instruction. My students get very excited when they get to work in small group with me. I know their excitement will only increase, and as a teacher, there is nothing I love seeing more!
My students deserve to have something unique, as they are the kids that usually receive little to nothing extra at home.
Can you imagine being 8 years old, and getting the privilege to move around while you're learning? Help me give these students something special, that allows them to increase their engagement during school. Help me make learning even MORE fun in my classroom.
