My Students

The students in my classroom love school. They are eager to learn, understand, and use new words in their reading and writing.

My second graders attend a small, primary school with a high percentage of students receiving free and reduced-price lunches.

They are very bright and love to learn! The boys and girls I teach especially love reading classroom library books and writing stories on self-selected topics.

My Project

Literacy centers are an important part of our daily routine. The materials I am requesting would be wonderful, meaningful additions to our literacy block. The students will learn new words and word skills as they complete fun and challenging activities.

Your donation to our project will provide a motivating way for students to increase their word knowledge and working vocabularies.

This will result in improved reading comprehension and writing. The positive experience the boys and girls will have with vocabulary study will encourage them to continue to associate learning new words with enjoyment and usefulness.
