Our students come from a variety of backgrounds. Most of our population is one of poverty. All of our students receive free lunches. The students try their best every day but have a lot of obstacles facing them, and for some just getting to school is a huge problem.
Our students live on the Flathead Indian Reservation, and with that comes a diverse group with unique challenges all their own.
I have never seen a group of students who try so hard and face the world and it's challenges head-on the way that my students do.
I am asking for these resources because I have a group of students who just do not have the fine motor skills need for using a seed bead loom. I am requesting some different types of looms and instead of beads the students will use yarn. This will give them the opportunity to leave the class with a project in hand at the end of the year!
These items will help me differentiate for this group of students, I want them to have the same oppertunities and experiences as the other students, they just need a few different items so they can be successful.
