This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Ladies in Training are young women with tenacity! Daily we talk about the plans we have once middle school is over and even high school. They make me smile with great anticipation hearing them speak life into their own destinies, and each other. They have such grand ideas and think on a different level because they are able to have each other and their sisterhood. They are sisters!

The students genuinely want greater for themselves and their families and are willing to learn how to do so while getting their education as well.

These are a group of the most amazing young ladies you could possibly meet. They have developed a sisterhood like none other. These ladies have been dedicated! When they set their minds on something, they go full steam. Day after day I demand more of them in and out of the classroom but I have yet to find a challenge they have not overcome. The same things they want are what they give in return, pure amazement!

These uniforms will be personalized for each young lady. These ladies went through a rigorous process for 10 weeks of dedication, hard work, and both school and community involvement. All they wanted were jackets to represent just that. Help me give these amazing ladies some awesome letterman jackets to allow them to display their organization, Ladies In Training (Butterfly Line) with style & pride! This jacket will be their staple & sign along with other beautiful trinkets and gifts. They are so excited to see them...let's make this happen!
